TWO BARN FIRES IN HENRY COUNTY, FATAL IN DEFIANCE COUNTY

At least five fire departments were called out Tuesday afternoon to battle a couple of barn fires in the LibertyCenter district yesterday.   The first blaze ignited at the John Frysinger property on road U in HenryCounty, where an older barn caught fire, and was a total loss.   There was no livestock inside or major equipment; but some smaller miscellaneous items were lost in the flames.    The cause of that fire at 4:20pm Tuesday is unknown; but some embers from that blaze actually started the second fire.                   The second blaze was reported on road 12 at the Jeff Bensen property, and ignited in the peak of his barn.   Fire crews from LibertyCenter and Napoleon rolled from the first fire, and quickly put down flames at the second, with only minor damage reported.            Liberty Center fire chief Brian Baker reports no injuries occurred; and again no livestock was lost in the two barn fires.     Responding to the fires besides LibertyCenter and Napoleon were Delta, Wauseon, and RidgevilleTownship volunteers.
