PRISON NUMBERS GOING UP IN OHIO
The number of prison inmates in Ohio is surging farm above estimates from just two years ago, according to figures from the Department of Rehabilitation and Corrections. In 2011, the state estimated there were be about 47,000 inmates behind bars by the year 2015. Now they have hiked that estimate to over 52,000 inmates for 2015. And the new estimates think that number will rise to over 53,400 by 2019.
