A new contract has been reached between the 6-member union of employees in the Henry County Children Services agency. The three-year agreement provides for a 2% wage increase in each of the three years, after this bargaining group had their wages frozen in the last contract. The employee contribution to health insurance will remain the same; but the contribution for family coverage went-up by 5%.
The Henry County Commissioners have approved an energy upgrade project at the county courthouse by means of retro-fitting controls. Lake Erie Electric got the bid for $43,505; with another $96,000-plus going to Palmer Conservation Services, who was consultant on the project. And in personnel action; the Henry County Commissioners accepted the retirement-resignation of their clerk, Vicki Glick. She has worked for the county for 25 years, and served as clerk of the commissioners board for the past 21 years. Glick’s will officially retire on March 1st.
