Contract negotiations are underway with employees at Napoleon Area Schools; and that was part of the discussion for the school board of education, during their executive session Wednesday night. The board opened the meeting behind closed doors, and those negotiating sessions continue this week. The contract with Napoleon teachers will expire at the end of June; but there are also negotiations with the OAPSE group, and non-union employees of the school district.
During the regular meeting, the Napoleon school board approved more varsity coaches for the coming school year. Randy Burke was approved as the new girls head track coach; and Megan Fields was named an assistant girls varsity basketball coach.
In other personnel action, Lainee Meyer was transferred from kindergarten teacher, to a third grade position at West Elementary for this fall.
And the NC-TV contract will be a split position this fall, with Kelly Cooper approved for one of the positions at the Wednesday meeting.
