The Napoleon School Board of Education tackled some personnel action, and got an update on the facilities project during their regular meeting Tuesday night. Footers for the Junior High addition at the high school have been poured, and underpinning of the south wall to re-enforce the foundation has taken place. That will lead to new ramps being installed out the south end of the high school gymnasium, with hopes of having that complete for the start of the winter sports season.
And the Napoleon board of education approved a resolution to seek state funding for replacement of three rooftop heating and air conditioning units. The total cost is estimated at over $770,000, which includes reconfiguring the system.
In personnel action, the Napoleon board accepted the resignation of classroom aide, Lisa Roddy; and from OBI instructor Peggy Snyder. In hirings by the board, Ed Bevelhymer will take-over a custodial position at the middle school, and Brandon Rosebrock was approved as a bus driver.
And in coaching positions, Megan Fields will take-over the freshman girls bkb slot; while Alex Woten was approved as boys freshman basketball coach. Both are Wauseon grads.
