LC COUNCIL REVIEWS FINANCING FOR AERATION SYSTEM
A state program will save the village of Liberty Center over $17,000 in interest payments over the next couple of years. Liberty Center council approved a resolution by emergency measure to participate in the credit enhancement program through the Ohio Public Works Commission. That program would pick-up Liberty Center’s interest costs on the aeration equipment installed at the road 11 booster station for water piped from Napoleon to Liberty Center. The savings would be $8,700 in 2014, and another $8,500 the year after.
178 of the village water meters have been installed for Liberty Center residents, heading toward their goal of 220 by the end of this month.
A meeting has been called for September 9th between Liberty Center council and the town’s board of public affairs, to consider enhanced safety and security for the municipal building.
Fall cleanup dates were set in Liberty Center for September 25th through 28th, with a drop off program for materials at the Krieger building.
And Liberty Center council thanked Randy Hall for his efforts in landscaping around the community.
