The drifting snow this (Fri.) morning caught a lot of drivers by surprise; and caused slick road conditions in Northwest Ohio. That led to an accident on U.S. 24 at 7:23am, at the intersection of Henry County road 16. The Henry County Sheriff’s Department reports 33 year old Arngie Howell of Napoleon was driving westbound, when he lost control of his auto on the snow covered road, sliding into a pile of snow. Howell was reportedly not wearing a seat belt, and sustained serious injuries. He was transported by Napoleon Rescue to the Henry County Hospital; and from there was taken to the university of Toledo medical Center by Life Flight ground ambulance. U.S. 24 was closed for about a half-hour due to Life Flight’s helicopter landing on the highway.
