The village of Holgate got some positive news concerning insurance rates for 2014. Holgate Council approved a new contract with Medical Mutual for employees health coverage, at a premium decrease of 9.3%. There will be some increased fees for co-pay for employees with this plan.
Accepting the recommendation from the personnel committee; Holgate Council approved 4% pay increases for the clerk and village administrator. More pay was also approved for other village employees.
A new copier was approved for the Holgate municipal building, at a cost of $2,637; replacing a 21 year old model.
And Holgate Council approved $1,550 in engineering fees for Poggameyer design Group, for their work on documents to be sent to the Ohio EPA regarding a switch in use of chlorine in the village, for the water treatment plant.
