HENRY COUNTY ENGINEER'S OFFICE HOSTS HRG. ON SECOND BRIDGE IN NAPOLEON
Back when ODOT was talking about replacing the bridge over the Maumee River in Napoleon on route 108 around 2002; an idea was suggested, to build a second bridge over the river first, so traffic would not have to be re-routed. That second bridge never materialized; but the idea has stayed alive. And Monday night, Henry County hosted a public hearing to gather input for the project, and to explain the need for a second span over the Maumee River in Napoleon. Henry County Engineer Tim Schumm says it comes down to a couple of factors, including safety and linking to the 6 and 24 bypass. Public input is still being gathered concerning this second bridge in Napoleon; and may be submitted to the county engineer’s office until December 30th.
