The Henry County Commissioners have again signed-on to utilize Maumee Valley Planning Agency, in administration of the community development block grant program.   $12,000 of the state funding for that program will go to Maumee Planning, along with another $3,000 stipend for handing the Fair Housing program applications.

Commissioners went into executive session to discuss personnel issues and compensation; but no action was taken during their Thursday session.

The update for October at the Henry County landfill transfer station indicates more than 71 tons of waste tires were taken-in; along with the biggest haul of the year in concrete, at over 134 tons.   Total solid waste for the month has dropped from 1,642 tons in October of 2012, to 117 tons this past month, since the site has been turned into a transfer station.   Henry County is still accepting loads at the landfill, at a cost of $15 up to 500 pounds; or $60 per ton.
