The Henry County Commissioners reviewed first quarter activity for the Local Emergency Planning Committee, during their Thursday session. Director Nick Nye updated the board on plans for an upcoming hazardous materials exercise in Napoleon. Henry County was awarded a grant of $1,600 to help with planning for the agency.
And the deadline for new companies that have hazardous materials at their site, to report to the Henry County LEPC is May 30th. There could be 4 or 5 new facilities facing that requirement.
The Henry County Commissioners went into executive session to discuss pending litigation; but no action was taken.
And the bid from a Lexington, Kentucky to supply concrete box beams for highway department construction projects was approved at $59,720. They were the lone bidder.
And the Henry County Commissioners travelled to Findlay to attend a regional meeting of the Toledo and Northwest Ohio Port Authorities.
