The Henry County Commissioners have released their health insurance coverage plan for employees in 2014.  The county is dropping from 3 plan options to one.  And that one is a high deductible, with health savings account.     Even with this plan, Henry county will still be paying a 25% increase in their health insurance.           The employee monthly premium will hold at the same rate as this year, which is $20 per month.  The cost is $154 to add a spouse to the coverage; and it’s $228 per month for family coverage for an employee.

Henry County is also eliminating payment of waivers for those employees that do not take health coverage.  That amount was $1,250 this past year.

                        In the health savings account plan, Henry County will contribute $1,200 to the employees account.

The Henry County Commissioners will host meetings for employees to review the new plan, during their session on Thursday at 10am and 1pm.

                        And the Henry County board went into executive session to discuss acquisition of property; but no action was taken.
