HENRY COUNTY COMMISSIONERS APPROVE BLOCK GRANTS

 

 

Following the second public hearing for the 2014 community development block grant program, the Henry County Commissioners have approved three projects for funding.  The three applications being recommended for funding by the state include $28,000 for a parking lot and sidewalk construction project in Ridgeville Corners, $22,000 for a storm sewer improvements on Henry Street in Malinta, and a $10,000 grant for Deshler to construct new concrete pads at the park shelter and entrances.    McClure’s request for street improvements would be the alternate project.

 

                        Henry County Commissioners opened four bids for the elevator replacement project at the courthouse.  Two of the proposals were above the engineer’s estimate of $265,000; and the other two were under that figure.  

 

                                    An allocation of $12,000 was approved for the Henry County CASA program.

 

And the Henry County Commissioners approved a lease agreement with the Ohio Department of Agriculture, division of meat inspection, for space in the HahnCenter.   The cost is $1,920 for a 12-month lease, beginning July 1st.
