It looks like the Henry County CIC will back-off their use of a Rural Business Enterprise program. At their Tuesday meeting, it was learned this program through the U.S. Department of Agriculture does not offer grants; but rather low interest loans only. Since there is already a micro-enterprise loan program that covers those type of loans; the CIC felt the rural business program was not necessary to duplicate.
New members of the Henry County Community Improvement Corporation were reminded to sign the new conflict-of-interest policy.
And the board went into executive session to discuss information regarding the relocation, location, or expansion of a business in Henry County; but no action was taken.
