FATAL CRASH IN WILLIAMS COUNTY OVER WEEKEND

 

 

The Defiance Post of the highway patrol investigated a three-vehicle fatal crash Sunday evening in WilliamsCounty.  At 6:21pm last night, 66 year old Craig Parliament of West Unity was operating a motorcycle, and stopped at the intersection of state route 15 and U.S. 20 just south of Pioneer.  Parliament’s bike was struck from behind by a pickup driven by 27 year old Delbert Drinnon, Jr. of MarkCenter.  The crash pushed the motorcycle into another vehicle, causing critical injuries for Craig Parliament, who was pronounced dead at the scene.  A passenger on the motorcycle, 35 year old Connie Shope of Cygnet was seriously injured; and transported to ParkviewHospital in Ft.Wayne.   Troopers report Parliament was not wearing a helmet.

 

 

The Henry County Sheriff’s office made a number of arrests over the weekend, including 30 year old Dalton Simon of Deshler, who was charged with Failing to Register a change of address as a sex offender Friday morning on Water street in Deshler.

 

Deputies were alerted to an assault that was occurring in a vehicle on the highway Friday evening.  They stopped the auto on county road 424 east of Napoleon, and charged 18 year old Saige Moyer of Defiance with Assault.  Moyer was transported to the regional jail.
