DESHLER COUNCIL APPROVES FEE FOR FIRE RUNS

When the fire trucks roll in Deshler, so will a bill for payment.  Deshler Village Council unanimously approved an ordinance that would require billing for any fire department runs to a residence or business inside the town limits.   That cost would be $1,000 per run.   Council is hoping that bill will then be turned over to an insurance company for final payment.  This ordinance was approved by emergency measure, and takes effect immediately in Deshler.

The Deshler Sons of the American Legion were given approval to host a fireworks display again this summer, to be held on July 5th.

And the mayor of Deshler is requesting residents pay their utility bills by the 15th of each month, whether they receive a bill in the mail or not.  There has been trouble with the mail delivering bills on a timely basis.
