COMADALL SWORN-IN AS NEW NAPOLEON COUNCILMAN

The newest member of Napoleon city council was sworn-in, during the regular meeting Monday night, with Jeff Comadall taking over the seat vacated when Patrick McColley resigned.   Comadall worked in the city operations department for over 30 years, and had retired.   But now is a member of the 7-person city council.

An ordinance to appoint Monica Irelan as city manager was approved, taking over for Jon Bisher in that role at the end of April.  But she is slated to begin duties next Monday.                          And Napoleon Council passed the first reading of an ordinance to create the position of ‘special projects clerk’.   That position will be filled by Jon Bisher when he retires as city manager.

An ordinance to authorize spending for repairs to an anchoring pole at the Ritter Park boat ramp was tabled; when it was discovered that cost will be closer to $75,000.

And Napoleon Council approved sending several issues to committee for more discussion, including a review of electric rates, a review of sewer rates in Napoleon, as well as responsibility in sewer repairs.
