Residents in Ohio will be able to vote by absentee ballot in the May primary election. April 1st is the opening day to request an absentee ballot; or to vote in-person at your local county board of election office. That absentee voting will be available through May 3rd. Voters can obtain information on state issue 1 regarding capital improvements by contacting the secretary of state’s website. There will also be 614 local issues on ballots around the Buckeye State.
The deadline to register to vote in the primary election is April 7th.
On election day, May 6th, the polls will be open from 6:30am until 7:30pm; and remember a valid ID will be required for you to cast your ballot.
